So apparently, this is a thing: Greenscreen-clad workers who secretly flip models’ hair during shampoo commercials. (via @makingofs on twitter)
if they would leave the mummy in the commercial I would be 200% more likely to purchase the product
But yeah just one thing about what Chris has been saying: no Kurt’s not a Slytherin, don’t fight me on this, or I’ll write you up a novel in a second. He’s just not a Slytherin, do not test me.
Chris thinks Kurt is a Slytherin and Darren thinks Blaine is a Ravenclaw.
I also see Kurt as Slytherin and Blaine as Ravenclaw….
well, whilst i can’t say about blaine (i’ve never really given too much thought to his hogwarts house tbph) but i’d say the reason i’d say kurt is much more gryffindor than slytherin in my opinion, and here’s why:
Kurt displays some slytherin traits, sure. He’s sly, and willing to do a lot to achieve his own personal goals (like the ‘clown hooker’ makeover fiasco)
But those aren’t the core traits of his personality. Sure, he has elements of a slytherin in him, but the main trait of his is his bravery. He continually takes every opportunity to stand up for himself and others- he pushes Karofsky away from hurting Blaine, stands up to the gay bashers in the alleyway, confronts Karofsky himself, battles on through every day at McKinley and was even willing to run for class president, despite knowing how many homophobes there are at the school. Not to mention the more minor things he did like say, choosing to do ‘Not the Boy Next Door’ for his NYADA audition, instead of his generic Phantom song.
Not to mention the fact Kurt is loyal to a fault. He sticks by the New Directions through thick and thin (only transferring to Dalton when he absolutely had to) he refuses to out Karofsky- showing his loyalty not only to others, but to his own principles, despite how much grief David caused him- and even when Kurt is a Warbler, he still stands up and cheers for his friends, showing his loyalty and support for them again and again. Not to mention the fact that Kurt, in all his time with Blaine, has never failed to be a completely loyal and devoted partner, always there to support and love Blaine through thick and thin.
At his heart, Kurt is a Gryffindor through and through. He stands up for his beliefs no matter what, is brave to a fault, and is loyal. Not to mention his bravery has manifested itself as recklessness more than once- like chasing after Karofsky into an empty locker room, urging Karofsky to hit him, going after the thugs in the alley, etc.- which again is another defining part of a Gryffindor’s psyche.
So yes, Kurt has some Slytherin traits. But overall, Kurt in my mind will forever be a gryffindor, because of the fact that, when you look at him and what lies in his heart, his lion pride shines through over and over.
Blaine will be forever a Hufflepuff to me. He has all the traits that Huffies value.
“You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil”—The Sorting Hat
Hufflepuffs are also known for being hard workers… and Blaine is a perfectionist, which means that usually works harder than others to achieve something because that’s the way he finds validation from others. If Blaine were a Ravenclaw his biggest strength would be his intellect while in canon he gains strength from his relationships with his friends and mostly Kurt. He also holds loyalty in a high regard because he values the emotional connection with others so he feels deeply betrayed when the other person doesn’t respect that.
